OPTION #1: ShieldWrap Plus™ Condensation Blanket & Moisture Barrier
If your metal building will not be heated or air-conditioned, your most affordable option is perforated ShieldWrap Plus™! Our VRR+ Faced Fiberglass Insulation is an older but very popular type of mass insulation which includes a reflective layer on its ShieldWrap Plus facing! With just 2" to 3"-thick fiberglass, it will provide a condensation blanket. However, you can get up to 8"-thick fiberglass in a multi-layer system to insulate heated/air-conditioned metal buildings and can reach R-Values as high as R-48! The ShieldWrap Plus™ facing elevates the product’s efficiency by contributing reflectivity to your fiberglass insulation.
